Polish Embassy Takes 2027 Funding Requests From Polonia Groups Through Nov. 16

Must read

Polonia organizations and Polish schools in the eastern and southeastern United States can apply for funding for projects in 2027. The Consular and Polonia Section of the Polish Embassy in Washington is accepting applications through Nov. 16. The deadline will not be extended.

The call is open to groups operating within the embassy’s consular district. It includes, among others, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Delaware, West Virginia, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.

Projects must fit within the Polish government’s program of cooperation with Polonia, the Polish diaspora, and with Poles abroad. Applicants can propose projects for the first half of 2027 (through the end of May) or year-round projects running through Dec. 12, 2027. The embassy first reviews applications on their merits and then forwards them to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which makes the final decision.

The full set of documents must be emailed to waszyngton.amb.wk@msz.gov.pl. It includes a signed and scanned application form, a statement on avoiding double funding and consent to the processing of personal data. Incomplete applications will not be considered. The forms and a document outlining the eligible tasks are available on the embassy’s website.

Smaller requests, under $500, can be submitted year-round and are reviewed as they come in. Polonia groups in other regions should follow announcements from the consulate responsible for their state.
