The Rozwój Plus caucus will submit a bill to deport foreigners convicted of promoting Banderism, ban them from entering Poland and criminalize promotion of the OUN-UPA and its symbols, Mateusz Morawiecki announced Wednesday. The move follows a Lviv council's decision to declare 2027 the year of the UPA.
Kraków Mayor Łukasz Gibała proposed suspending the city's partnership with Lviv over the Lviv Regional Council's decision to declare 2027 the Year of the UPA. He said he would withdraw the draft resolution if Lviv's mayor condemns the decision.
Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz said Tuesday that the Lviv Regional Council's decision to name 2027 the year of the UPA and Roman Shukhevych is unacceptable, and called on Ukraine's authorities to distance themselves from it.
