Otwock has received an occupancy permit for the swimming pool on Karczewska Street. It is the city’s first pool and the largest such facility in Otwock County. Residents waited about half a century for it, and construction took more than two years. The project cost about PLN 130 million.
The basins are already filled with water. Testing of the equipment and pool technology, final finishing work and staff training are under way. The gym and food service area are still being equipped. The parking lot, lighting and new greenery are finished.
The facility has a 25-by-21-meter sports pool with eight lanes, a recreational pool with three lanes for swimming lessons, and an outdoor pool. Visitors will also have access to a lazy river, a wave pool, a Jacuzzi and a slide more than 70 meters long with light and sound effects.
A children’s zone of nearly 250 square meters has been set up, with a wading pool and a water playground. The spa area will include six saunas, an ice grotto, a salt wall and a brine graduation tower.
The pool will be run by H2Otwock, a municipal company established in late 2025. The opening is planned for the end of 2026, after technical inspections. Ticket prices have not yet been announced.
