American influencer and boxer Jake Paul will return to the ring on Dec. 24 in Dubai. It will be his first fight since last year’s loss to Britain’s Anthony Joshua. His opponent has not yet been confirmed.
Paul, who is just under 30, underwent a procedure to implant two titanium plates and have several teeth removed after Joshua broke his jaw during their heavyweight bout last December. The American was knocked down twice, and the fight was stopped in the sixth round. In May, the influencer acknowledged that his boxing career was in serious doubt.
Paul will headline a card in Dubai scheduled for Christmas Eve. Several names are on the list of potential opponents.
“For years I have proven the doubters wrong – I took risks and faced opponents nobody expected me to step into the ring with. I am hungrier for success than ever,” the American said.
Paul has won 12 of his 14 professional fights. Two years ago, he beat the legendary Mike Tyson, who is 30 years his senior, on points. In July 2025, after defeating former world champion Julio César Chávez Jr. of Mexico, Paul entered the World Boxing Association’s (WBA) cruiserweight rankings. A few months later, after the loss to Joshua, he dropped out of them. The other defeat of his career came against another Briton, Tommy Fury.
