Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski signed a request to put Lviv Oblast council member Sviatoslav Sheremeta on Poland's list of undesirable persons. The ban on entering Poland and the rest of the Schengen Area would last five years.
A decision by Lviv Regional Council deputies to name 2027 the year of the UPA and Roman Shukhevych was an "unpleasant surprise" for Kyiv, a PAP source said. Consultations are under way to block it, while Poland banned the initiator from the Schengen Area.
