New York City police officers called to a burglary and stabbing at a home in South Ozone Park, Queens, on Friday evening shot a woman who was armed with a knife. Inside the house, they also found two men with stab wounds.

911 calls came in just after 9:30 p.m. from a home on 149th Street. When officers arrived, no one answered the door. After a short time, a woman threw keys out of a third-floor window, and the officers used them to open the back entrance. Screams could be heard from upstairs.

According to NYPD Chief of Patrol Philip Rivera, officers found a woman and two men who had been stabbed on the third floor. The woman had a knife and did not follow commands, so the officers used a stun gun and firearms. A second knife was found at the scene.

Police stress that they do not consider the woman to be the perpetrator of the burglary or of the initial stabbing. According to media reports, one of the men shouted from a window that his uncle had wounded him. Police sources said an arrest was made in the case. The condition of the wounded has not been released, and investigators are working to determine what happened.
