Speeds of more than 100 mph, driving on flat tires and a getaway on foot: That is how a Saturday pursuit across New Hampshire ended. Police dog Soka stopped the driver.

On Saturday at about 11:50 p.m., Maine police were chasing a Nissan Altima on I-95 toward New Hampshire. A New Hampshire trooper spotted the car in Hampton. According to police, it was traveling more than 100 mph. The driver did not stop for a traffic stop.

He fled along I-95, then on Route 101 through several towns, all the way to I-93 and I-293 in Manchester. In Candia, officers deployed a spike strip, but the driver kept going on flat tires. He eventually hit a barrier, jumped out of the car and started running. He did not get far: Soka, a police dog, caught him.

The 42-year-old Hampton resident was charged with, among other things, two counts of endangering others, driving under the influence, failure to comply with police orders and resisting. He was taken to the Rockingham County jail.
