Stephen Miller is a dangerous man and was behind the brutal immigration enforcement operation “Midway Blitz” in Chicago, Illinois Democrats are reminding the public. On Friday, President Donald Trump announced that Miller will replace Susie Wiles as White House chief of staff on Nov. 9.
Miller was the driving force behind the current administration’s tougher immigration policy, including Operation “Midway Blitz” in the Chicago metropolitan area. “Who will dare say: The cartels are gone, the criminal immigrants are gone, the gangs are gone. America is for Americans, and only for Americans?” Miller said earlier.
“He is the one fueling anger and even hatred. Stephen Miller is a very dangerous man,” said Rep. Jonathan Jackson, a Democrat who represents Illinois’ 1st Congressional District. Jackson, who was just reelected to a third term, says Miller’s promotion signals that the current White House administration will take a combative stance toward Democrats, who are taking control of both chambers of the U.S. Congress. “It shows a complete lack of awareness, as well as arrogance, spite and cruelty,” Jackson said. “I expect that he will use the remaining 730 days to go full steam ahead and do even more damage, now with Stephen Miller as chief of staff, who can carry out his policies,” the congressman added.
Newly elected Illinois Sen. Juliana Stratton, also a Democrat, called Miller “the architect of some of the most vile and despicable actions of the Trump administration.” Stratton noted that “instead of changing course, Donald Trump is going all in.” For his part, Stephen Miller wrote on social media: “Our mission is now clearer than ever: to fight with all our soul to support our president and defend this great republic.”
