Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker will suspend his public appearances next week to recover from a medical procedure, his office said Friday. It added that Pritzker, 61, will undergo an outpatient urological procedure on Monday.
Although his public appearances will be suspended, the governor will continue to carry out his duties during his recovery. Pritzker had a similar procedure in May. He stayed briefly in the hospital because of minor complications. “The governor is grateful for the well wishes and hopes to resume attending public events soon,” JB Pritzker’s office said in a statement.
